Almost bought Commander square 5 gallon buckets, but the lids ( tried several) didn't seal tightly and there wasn't any latches to secure them. Found the Craftsman 5 gallon square buckets far superior. The lids fit and seal tightly, almost air / water tight , even without engaging the super heavy duty latches. Useful 1" depression in lid keeps gear on top from rolling off. Four pass through holes near corners would take small padlocks for security or cable ties for DIY hinges. Over built very large removable plastic handle with molded hand grip is much better than regular 5 gallon buckets. Buckets are strong enough to use as a seat , if you put plywood, etc. on lid to put weight on bucket rim, not center. Tried ... MoreWanted square buckets with lids for hurricane supplies storage . Buckets are 15" deep and 12" square. Liked them so much I bought 4, so far. Paid $ 7.98 per bucket, which is only a dollar more than the Commander buckets.
