As a primarily desktop hard drive these things are horrible (especially if you have a lot of programs that start up with Windows) at times booting my PC was taking over half an hour. Using a new clean windows installation doesn’t improve matters a great deal either and neither does resetting your OS. The problem with these drives is that solid state partition is too small to actually fit all your boot files on so the firmware is constantly arguing with itself about what files should be cached on it resulting in stupidly long load times and long moments in which the PC appears to be doing nothing at all (in fact the only way you can tell that your PC is still working is the hard drive light ...
