After alot of research I went with the Eureka Quick up for half the price. This has tons more suction than the Dirt Devil. You can feel the suction grab hold of area rugs! We have a dog and a cat, and is primarily used for the large bathroom where the litter box is and the kitchen. Picks up litter easily and turn on the brush roller, and throw rugs are clean too. Cord is a little short but not a big deal for me. We have longer Smartstrand carpet and this will do for a quick clean up also. It picks up alot of hair from all types of floors but remember, it is not meant for deep cleaning carpets. I use a little stiffer brush to clean the filter after each ...
